“ When we were children, we used to think that when we were grown-up we would no longer be vulnerable. But to grow up is to accept vulnerability…To be alive is to be vulnerable.”
- Madeleine L’Engle

As a Togolese immigrant, daughter, sister, fur-mom, and wife in an interracial marriage, my identities profoundly shape my approach as a therapist, evolving each day. The challenges I’ve encountered have provided invaluable insight and a deep desire to assist individuals, couples, and families in overcoming their obstacles and defining their narratives.
Born in Togo, West Africa, I immigrated to the US at four. There, I soon encountered rejection due to my immigrant status. Enduring criticism for my skin color, language, and mannerisms, I struggled to question my identity and adapt to fit in.
Growing up in a culture marked by racism was burdensome. It led me to a journey of self-discovery, during which I grappled with embracing my true self. Despite the pressures, I preserved my native language, a vital aspect of my heritage, which ultimately became a source of strength.
Choosing the field of psychology was a conscious decision to reconnect with my essence, a journey I’ve been privileged to undertake. Through this path, I’ve cultivated self-love, and it continues to evolve.
My mission as a therapist is to foster visibility and empower clients to embrace their narratives. Whether working with individuals, couples, or families, I strive to provide a space where they can reclaim their stories and harness their inner strength for a fulfilling future.
My Approach
Given the diverse nature of our world, I employ an integrative approach with my clients, utilizing modalities that best meet their unique needs. I prioritize providing warmth, kindness, empathy, and directness when necessary.
I believe in approaches that respect the diverse ways we show up in the world and strive to understand how we wish to create change. My framework helps clients feel heard and visible, empowering them to claim their stories. I use techniques that address the cultural messages we receive throughout our lives from families, communities, and social institutions.

Couples Maintenance Therapy – 90-Minute Sessions
Your relationship deserves care, not just crisis management.
So many couples believe therapy is only for when things are “falling apart,” but the truth is—strong relationships need nurturing, too. Think of maintenance therapy as a regular tune-up: a space to reconnect, improve communication, and address concerns before they grow into something bigger.
In my 90-minute sessions, I provide a safe, intentional space for couples who:
Want occasional check-ins to keep their relationship strong
Need support improving communication and understanding their unique dynamic
Don’t always have friends, family, or community to lean on
Want to feel safe exploring insecurities, fears, or concerns without judgment
A Special Focus on Interracial & Culturally Diverse Couples
Being in an interracial or cross-cultural relationship can be both deeply rewarding and uniquely challenging. Together, we’ll work on:
Honoring each partner’s background and lived experience
Building your own shared relationship culture
Navigating extended family dynamics with care
Managing strong cultural or value-based differences that can impact your connection
These sessions aren’t about “fixing” you—they’re about strengthening the foundation you’ve already built and giving you tools to grow together with more clarity, compassion, and confidence.
Why 90 Minutes?
Relationships deserve more than a rushed conversation. A full 90 minutes gives us the breathing room to slow down, dig deeper, and practice new ways of showing up for each other.
Your relationship is worth the investment. Let’s create space for growth, understanding, and deeper connection.
